Another good training session midweek and the lads were off to Shropshire to face Ellesmere Rangers for a noon kick off. Elllesmere started the game bright and created the first chance of the game. This spurred the Stour boys on, who then began to put their stamp on the game. goals from McCue, Murphy,Hodgetts & Wells gave the travelling team a healthy, deserved 4-0 lead at the break. As in most friendlies changes were made throughout the game. All the Stour boys continued to play a great passing game, keeping good possession and creating good chances, but could not add to the tally. Ellesmere creating only the one chance 2nd half. Stour finally got a deserved fifth goal 15 mins into the half. A good all round performance. We would like to thank Dan for getting the game on, despite the poor weather we are having.
