In the run-up to the opening league fixture at Warrington, the Glassboys registered two more new players to bolster the squad.

JON ADAMS was a second-half substitute at Warrington. The 31-year old is a ball-playing midfielder with a wealth of non-league experience, who has joined Stourbridge from Chasetown after featuring in the pre-season games at Evesham and Romulus.

The Birmingham born attack-minded player first came to prominence at Leamington, where he soon became a crowd favourite. In the summer of 2008 he moved to AFC Telford, where he enjoyed some success under Rob Smith and Larry Chambers, including winning the now defunct Setanta Shield. However in 2011-12 he fell out of favour with subsequent Bucks boss Andy Sinton and he re-joined Leamington on loan early in 2012.

After being released by the Shropshire club, he was quickly snapped up by Nuneaton Town in May 2012, but after an injury-hit second season, he was freed in the summer of 2014 and moved on to Tamworth.

After a year with the Lambs, he linked up again with former bosses Smith and Chambers - this time at Hednesford Town - for the start of the 2015-16 season, but the managerial duo made a return to Telford soon after the start of the campaign. After being unable to secure a regular starting place with the Pitmen, he opted to move on to Rugby Town in October 2015, but a month later he signed for Stafford Rangers before ending last season with Chasetown.

LIAM MOLESWORTH first appeared for the Glassboys in the home pre-season win over Shrewsbury Town last month and has been involved since. The 23-year old wide midfielder has spent much of the last few years playing abroad in Australia and Sweden. He initially began with Walsall, but subsequently played youth football for Redditch and Stratford Town. He had trials with Scottish clubs Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock before being handed the chance to play in Australia. He had spells with Adelaide Blue Eagle and West Adelaide and he also had a stint back home in England with Bromsgrove Sporting before heading to Sweden in 2014 to play for AFC United in the Superettan. He subsequently returned to Australia to join South Adelaide before heading back to England this summer.
