Stourbridge have been drawn at home to Basford United or Peterborough Sports in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round.

Both sides play in the Evo-Stik League South, with Sports having gained promotion at the end of last season as Champions of the United Counties League, where they won 36 of their 42 matches, scoring exactly 150 League goals.

Basford finished 6th in last season's Division 1 South, missing out on the play-offs by just one place and one point. Indeed, they would have made the play-offs had they not suffered a three-point deduction. Twelve months previously they did reach the play-offs but went down 5-0 in the semi-finals to the eventual winners, Coalville Town.

Whilst Stourbridge have never previously met Basford, located in the northern suburbs of Nottingham, in any competition, it is less than twelve months since our only previous encounter with Sports. The teams met over in Cambridgeshire in last season's FA Cup First Qualifying Round, where goals from Dan Scarr, Luke Benbow and Tom Tonks - from all of 50 yards - gave the Glassboys a 3-1 win after coming from a goal down.

The tie will be played on Saturday 28th October.

Meanwhile the Youth Team have been drawn away to either Nuneaton Griff or Hereford in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The draws have also been made for the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary Rounds of the Emirates FA Cup. Stourbridge will enter at the First Qualifying Round stage, with the draw expected to be made in mid-August.

There will be more on this story shortly.
