Goalkeeper CHARLIE PRICE has joined Stourbridge for a second stint and will provide competition for the no. 1 jersey. (READ ON)

The 25-year old custodian and local lad returns to the War Memorial Athletic Ground having made 14 appearances for the Glassboys in 2015-16 after arriving from Tividale in May 2015. He most notably was between the sticks for our F A Trophy wins at home to Kidderminster Harriers and away at Braintree Town that season, but he ended the campaign on dual registration to Lye Town after losing his starting place to Matt Gould.

A bubbly character around the dressing room, Charlie first made his mark at Lye Town before joining Tividale in the summer of 2013 where he first linked up with Ian Long. He went on to establish himself as their first choice keeper and played his part in Tividale winning the Midland Alliance title in 2013/14 and then finishing 8th in the NPL Division 1 South the following season.

He linked up again with Ian Long at Alvechurch in the summer of 2016 after his year at Stourbridge and at various stages has competed for the No. 1 spot at Lye Meadow against the likes of another ex-Glassboy Paul Evans and also Lewis Gwilliams. He has also had dual registration stints with Walsall Wood and Lye.

Back surgery restricted Charlie to a handful of starts last season and he subsequently provided cover to Dan Crane over the latter half of last season.

We have bade farewell to attacking midfielder ROBERT THOMPSON-BROWN. The 26-year old Kings Norton based player was under contract to the Club, but has now completed a transfer to newly promoted BROMSGROVE SPORTING for an undisclosed fee after one year with Stourbridge.

In 2018/19 he made 46 appearances (40 + 6 sub) and scored 3 times. A threat on set-pieces, he most memorably netted a last gasp free-kick from a tight angle at Biggleswade Town in November.

Robert started out in the youth system at Kidderminster Harriers. He then spent time with Redditch United and Stratford Town before returning to the Aggborough fold. He moved on to Nuneaton for the 2012-13 season and subsequently had spells out on loan with Daventry Town and Leamington. He signed for Hednesford Town in August 2013 and enjoyed one season at Keys Park before joining Halesowen Town in July 2014. A move to Stratford Town followed in February 2015 before he joined Redditch United in December 2015. He signed for Leamington in the summer of 2016 and he spent one-and-a-half years with the Brakes. Robert netted six times in 22 appearances for Leamington before joining Stafford Rangers in December 2017 in search of more regular starts. He completed a move to Stourbridge in May 2018.

Welcome back to Charlie!

And good luck to Robbie for the future at his new club!
