Given the history behind our home ground, the Club wants to show its appreciation for the armed forces. (READ ON)

At the entrance of our ground stands The War Memorial Arch which is now a Grade 2 listed building. It was built in 1928 by Geoffrey Ince and donated by Ernest Stevens as a memorial to the local soldiers that lost their lives in World War I.

We felt it only right that with Remembrance Sunday fast approaching, we would offer free entry to our armed forces to our next home league match.

This Saturday, November 3rd, we host Lowestoft Town for an Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central fixture at the War Memorial Athletic Ground (3pm kick-off).

The Royal British Legion will be holding a bucket collection at the ground during the afternoon and poppies will be on sale.

As a token of the Club’s gratitude for all those who have served to keep us and our country safe over the years, we are offering all current and former servicemen and women free entry to this match.

All we ask is that servicemen or women planning to come to the game bring any form of ID that confirms they have served in the forces or their Royal British Legion membership with them to show at the turnstiles.

We do hope you can come along to the game and from all of us at Stourbridge Football Club, thank you for the sacrifices you have all made for us.
