We are once again hosting a Charity Match at the War Memorial Ground in support of Mary Stevens Hospice on Sunday 2nd April (2.30 pm).

We are delighted to once again be supporting the Hospice with a game that will feature teams from Stourbridge and West Bromwich Albion.

Already confirmed for the Baggies squad are Darren Moore, Bob Taylor, Ian Hamilton, Nigel Quashie, Paul Peschisolido, Daryl Burgess, Geoff Horsfield, Andy Johnson, Dele Adebola, Lee Hughes and goalkeepers Brian Jensen and Jonathan Gould, father of Glassboys' keeper Matt!

Meanwhile, the Stourbridge squad has been confirmed, and will include Craig Slater, Adam Bastable, Sam Rock, Lewis Solly, James Dyson , Ross Collins, Tim Nicholls, Morgan Brookes, Damian Whitcombe, Lee Dimmock, Andy Wells, Lee Bullimore,
Nathan Bennett, Lee Booth, Dean Coleman, Lee Rollason, Jamie Rogers and Matt Webb, with possibly a few more to be added.

Kick-off will be at 2.30 pm, with the turnstiles open at 1 pm.

Entrance for spectators is via the Church End turnstiles, opposite Amblecote Church on High Street, Amblecote

There will be a minute's silence before the game in memory of Tracey & Pierce Wilkinson following this week's tragic event.

Please note that there is no spectator car parking available at the Football Ground. Please use town centre car parks or use public transport, if possible. The 246 (Dudley service) and 256 buses (service via Kingswinford and Wall Heath to Wolverhampton) pass by the ground and the X96 (from Merry Hill) is a short walk away along Vicarage Road.

Last season's game attracted over 2,000 spectators to Amblecote, making a superb atmosphere on the day, and it would be great to see at least that number here again.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw with `Super` Bob Taylor scoring the Baggies' goal.

On the day we will also be supporting the Antony Nolan Cancer Charity.

To Save Lives – Visit the Health Hub at the game. Anthony Nolan staff will be on hand to swab potential stem cell donors & answer any questions. Visit www.anthonynolan.org for more information.

Join the register & be a LIFESAVER.

Simon Wilkes, who will be playing in the match, is raising money for the MDS (Myelo-Dysplastic Syndromes - a type of bone marrow failure) UK Patient Support Group – you can donate at Simon's Just Giving page - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SimonWilkes1

All donations will go to help so many people with life-threatening illnesses.

There will be Bouncy Castles and lots of other sideshows for the youngsters (and the not so youngsters!), whilst after the game in the Glassboys Bar there will be a big party and another fantastic sporting memorabilia auction.
