Well Done Clare! A Marathon Effort!
Stourbridge FC would like to congratulate supporter CLARE EDWARDS on completing the London Marathon last Sunday.
Clare is one of our junior parents and her husband Michael runs our U8 junior team.
The family have become avid Stourbridge fans in the meantime.
Clare was running to raise funds for the Birmingham Children's Hospital because of the amazing work they do. She recorded a time of 6 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds.
Stourbridge vice-chairman Andy Bullingham said: "The Club would like to send its warmest congratulations on Clare completing the Marathon last Sunday and I would like to pledge a donation of £100 to Clare for her chosen charity on behalf of the Football Club as recognition of her marvellous fundraising efforts."
Clare and her family face another marathon of sorts this Saturday as they will join hundreds of Glassboys fans making the long journey up to County Durham for the Play-off Final!
