We are delighted to announce that Wolves legends Kenny Hibbitt and John Richards will be guests of honour at the War Memorial Athletic Ground on Saturday 24th November for our home league game against Tamworth FC (kick-off 3pm).

Both were members of the Wolves side that famously lifted the League Cup in March 1980 when Wanderers beat Nottingham Forest 1 - 0 in the Final at Wembley.

Hibbitt later managed Walsall, Cardiff City and Hednesford Town.

Hibbitt, Wolves' second highest appearance maker, has recently released his autobiography with friend and team mate Richards contributing the Foreword.

The 300-page book describes Kenny’s early upbringing in Bradford and his roller coaster career at Wolves – from the highs of cup finals and competing in Europe, to the lows of bankruptcy at Molineux. He also reveals how close he came to re-joining the club as part of the management.

Written with Tim Nash, the book features over 60 photographs, many previously unseen and is priced at £20. Copies will be available to buy on the day.

Kenny and ‘King John’ will be on hand before and after the match to sign the book, chat to supporters and of course pose for the obligatory fans selfie – so come along and snap up your Christmas stocking fillers!
