The Glassboys collected their second pre-season win with a comfortable victory away at Bromsgrove Rovers. The home side showed up better in the opening exchanges, but Stourbridge gradually settled and broke the deadlock on 29 minutes with Leon Broadhurst slotting home. Linden Dovey flashed a shot inches wide before we doubled our lead two minutes before the break as James Cooper reached a through ball ahead of Rovers keeper Green and was duly brought down and Ben Billingham buried the resulting spot-kick.

Rovers pulled a goal back three minutes after the re-start as Giovanni Dainty headed home from a right-wing Danny Ludlow corner, however Billingham restored the two-goal cushion on 67 minutes with a sublime free-kick from just outside the box past a bamboozled home keeper and a mistake from Green eight minutes later allowed Ryan Rowe to make it four. Green redeemed himself later though with two fine stops to thwart Rowe when the Stour striker looked odds on to score.
