Stourbridge under 8’s are managed by Mark Bellingham and coached by Phil Wooldridge.

They receive huge support from the parents of the playing squad who are:

This will be their first full year playing together as a team. They are registered in the Stourbridge Youth District League (SYDL) in pool A. They will be playing 20 friendlies at 5-a-side. The maximum 10 players are registered. The team play on a rota basis with 7 from the 10 playing in each match.

The ethos behind the team is that all players will play an equal amount of football throughout the season in a number of positions regardless of results.

The team have played a number of friendlies in readiness for the season, but played their first game in the SYDL on Sunday 5^th September 2010 at the War Memorial ground against Gornal Athletic.

In a keenly contested encounter Stourbridge weathered the early storm before stretching into a 5-1 lead early in the second half. Although both sides continued to create chances there was no change to the score, thanks to the heroic efforts of the Gornal goalkeeper.
