U15A No Match
U15B Stourbridge fc 2 Netherton Colts West 3 (SDFL)
Netherton got their revenge with a 3-2 win. We had beaten them away 6-2 at the start of the season.
In todays game we were 2-0 up at the half through goals from Robert Johnston and an Adam Tranter penalty but then things went downhill with a lack of concentration at the back costing us 3 goals but it was a well fought game.
Man of the match - Adam Tranter

U15A Stourbridge 2 Inkberrow 0 (MJPL)
Two goals from Calvin Campbell secured the points for a solid looking Glassboys against Inkberrow at Enville.
Stourbridge were the better side from the first whistle and although the performance did not match the heights of last week, we never looked in trouble with chances aplenty being created and chances offered at a minimum. Campbell’s goals came either side of the break with the second being the pick - finishing from 16 yards out after some neat build up play.
We now await the draw for the play-off cup after finishing in a creditable 10thplace which in our 1stseason is a fantastic effort especially given the small points margin between us and the teams in the top 4.
Onward and Upward!!

U15A Wigston Utd 2 Stourbridge 0 (MJPL)
Stourbridge travelled to 2nd placed Wigston Utd full of confidence after a 4-match winning run. The early exchanges were even with Stour creating the first opening as Liam Butler forced the home keeper into a good save. Wigston took the lead on 20 mins though when a period of Wigston pressure led to a high ball into the box which somehow made its way through a crowded goal mouth to find an unmarked striker with an easy tap in. Stour were hanging on for the next 5 minutes and needed to re-group. Slowly, but surely the confidence returned and the away side were asking all the questions, with chances created although none clear-cut. The home side then won 3 successive free kicks in dangerous areas in quick succession and unfortunately for Stour from one of these free kicks Wigston doubled their lead with an unstoppable effort into the top corner. The Stourbridge reaction was top class and they continued to press the home side but alas could not find a way back into game. Nothing, but positives to take from the game with the performance level very high from all the players.
U15B Stourbridge 0 Blackheath Town Colts 2 (SDFL)
We were unlucky first half. Blackheath scored after 5 mins to put us 1-0 down and then with a fluke of a goal we fell 2 behind. In the second half we came out fighting and we had most of the play, producing some excellent football but we just couldn't find the back of the net. We had our fair share of chances but didn't take them.
I can't fault the lads as we played with heart and passion. Our man of the match was James Isherwood - an outstanding performance today.

U15A Stourbridge U15s 3 Hinckley United 1 (MJPL)
Stourbridge took a well-earned 3 points against a very good Hinckley side that in my opinion are probably the best passing side we have played this season. Stour opened the scoring on what must be a MJPL record of 7 seconds with Calvin Campbell charging down a back pass from the kick off and creating his own chance to put us 1-0 up. The game was quite open with the wide open spaces of Enville Hall allowing Hinckley to get their pass and move football going and Stour having to press their opponents quickly and try and open up Hinckley with their own passing game. On 25 minutes this worked well as Stour broke quickly down the left and the impressive Liam Snape played a slide rule pass down the channel for Jamie Chetwood to finish over the on- rushing keeper. A 3rd was added on 58 minutes when Liam Snape profited from a bit of a scramble to hit home. Hinckley got a goal back 5 minutes later however when a free kick was cleared but the 2nd ball dropped for a Hinckley player to hit home through a crowd of players. Further chances for Stour weren't taken late on but we had done enough to secure the win.
U15B Stourbridge 4 Wordsley Wasps 0 (SDFL)
A well maintained first half with Matthew Nicklin drawing first blood with well earned goal to put us 1-0 up at the half way stage, then we came alive in the second with an excellent goal slotted in at the near post by Travis Stringer then Wordsley gave away a penalty which was calmly tucked away by Cory Grey and finally there was a debut goal from our latest signing Robert Johnson whose volley found the top right hand corner - a nice start to his time at Stourbridge.

U15A Worcester Olympic 1 Stourbridge U15s 3 (MJPL)
Stour overcame a dogged Worcester side with two first-half goals from Calvin Campbell and Jamie Chetwood, Worcester did pull a goal back shortly after the restart when a corner wasn't defended properly, but the 2 -goal cushion was restored 7 minutes later with Liam Snape finishing a fine move that started from the back. It was pleasing to see Stour create numerous chances on a difficult surface that doubles as a rugby pitch, if we can start taking these chances things will become a little easier for us.
