Stourbridge FC are now in a position to make the following statement after the two recent derby games.

This further statement is in regard to the Evo-Stik League fixture against Halesowen Town FC on Saturday, 7th October and the Birmingham Senior Cup tie against the same opposition on Monday, 23rd October.

Following investigations, we can confirm that a number of people have been refused entry to the War Memorial Ground at subsequent matches, and the club is in the process of formally notifying these people of indefinite bans from all future matches at the War Memorial Ground.

The Club wishes to re-iterate it's previous statement to the effect that flares, smoke bombs and similar items will not be tolerated. Anybody found to be in possession of such items, or attempting to bring them into the Ground, will be liable to a similar ban.

This also applies to anybody throwing items either onto the pitch or at visiting supporters, and to anti-social behaviour generally.

Football is a passionate game, and we would encourage our supporters to show that passion in the right way. Make a noise, get behind the team, show your support. However, whilst we all understand that things can happen in the heat of the moment, we will not tolerate spectators stepping beyond the line of reasonable behaviour, particularly in the direction of visiting supporters.

Stourbridge FC prides itself on being a family club, and on the warm welcome we extend to all visitors to the War Memorial Ground - whichever club they support - just as our travelling supporters are made welcome in turn wherever we play. This is the nature of Non-League football and we wish to ensure that the atmosphere at the War Memorial Ground is in keeping with those traditions, whilst encouraging our supporters to continue to give their whole-hearted backing to the team.

Thank you for your co-operation.
