Luke Benbow was first to react when the ball dropped to him from Chris Lait's free kick on 39 minutes, and the in-form striker struck a first-time shot into the net to notch his seventh goal in his last four appearances/
Substitute Kayleden Brown netted the second goal with 67 minutes played, just two minutes after he came on. Tom Tonks's long throw flicked off an Ashton head for Brown to fire into the roof of the net from close range at the far post.
The closest the home side came was early in the second half when Matt Gould palmed an attempt by Lee Gaskell onto the crossbar before diving on the loose ball as it dropped.
Stourbridge climb to 8th in the Premier Division table as a result of the win.
