The 24-year old is relocating north once the season is concluded and he announced his forthcoming departure with a message of thanks to all connected with the club on his twitter account.
Matt initially joined us in January 2016 when he arrived on loan from Scottish club Livingston and quickly established himself as our no. 1. He later signed for the club on a more permanent basis and has since chalked up 138 appearances in our colours, memorably playing a big role in our more recent F A Cup runs .
Stourbridge boss Gary Hackett told the STOURBRIDGE NEWS: "He's ultra professional on the pitch and one heck of a nice guy off the pitch. His attention to detail and work ethic is fantastic. He'll be tough to replace but we wish him well and hope he can realise his dream to be a professional goalkeeper again."
Matt's message, including a reflection of his time at Stourbridge, can be viewed at https://twitter.com/mattgkgould
Hopefully Matt can sign off on a winning note in the Senior Cup Final and we all wish him well for the future.
