Stourbridge Ladies narrowly missed out on the BCWL Premier Division Title as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Greenfields by Tamworth.

The point was enough for the visitors to claim the Championship with a four poin lead over the Glassgirls, who still have one match to play.

In a game that Stourbridge knew they needed to win, Tamworth took the lead midway through the first half and managed to keep the Glassgirls at bay until 20 minutes from time when top scorer Sarah Lojko (pictured above) equalised to give our girls hope. However, despite their best efforts, a winning goal would not come.

Nonetheless, it has been another fine season for the Glassgirls after promotion from Division 1 twelve months ago, and it is not yet over.

Next Sunday, 1st May, they travel to Coventrians for the final League game of the season (2 pm kick-off), and then on Sunday 22nd May the Ladies will take on Starland St Anne's at Bedworth United FC in the BCWL Open Cup Final. That match kicks off at 1.30 pm.
