The Glassboys eased to the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup with a strong second half display against Lougborough.

Midfielder Leon Broadhurst netted twice for the second game running, and substitute Josh Cooke added the third with his first goal for the Glassboys before Edilson Antonio clawed back a late consolation for Dynamo.

The result means Stourbridge go into the draw for the Second Qualifying Round, which is due to be announced at approximately 1.00 pm on Monday. Ties are to be played on the weekend of Saturday 16th September.

After a cagey first half ended goal-less, with Charlie Taylor's save from Jordan Archer early on being the most noteworthy chance, Stour upped their game after the interval and were ahead when Broadhurst swept the ball home from close range on 51 minutes, after Aaron Forde's effort had been blocked.

Broadhurst then added a second ten minutes later, thumping in from 15 yards following good work by Josh Green and Ryan Rowe, and Cooke made the game safe with 77 minutes played as he turned on the edge of the box and struck an unstoppable shot past Taylor and into the top corner.

Antonio capitalised on some slack defending to pull a goal back five minutes from time, but the Glassboys had done more than enough by that stage to ensure safe passage.

A full report will appear shortly.
