Luke Benbow returns on loan!

By Steven Coney

We are delighted to announce that popular forward Luke Benbow is back with the Glassboys for a third spell.

He has returned to the War Memorial Ground from National League side Solihull Moors on a short-term loan deal which runs until December 2nd.

Luke was our top scorer last season with 39 goals in all competitions, and his tally of 32 in the Evo-Stik NPL Premier made him the Division's top scorer.

He also scored five goals in the Glassboys' FA Cup run, including two in the First Round replay win at home to Whitehawk.

His goals last season helped spearhead a promotion charge with the Glassboys falling to Spennymoor Town in the play-off final.

Luke's impact led to him collecting four awards at the end of season Presentation - Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, Manager's Player of the Year, and the Man of the Match Trophy.

However, he opted to make the step up to the National League with Solihull Moors in the summer but due to injury and manager changes, has found first team opportunities hard to come by.

He now returns for his third spell with Stourbridge and will be looking to add to his record of 95 goals from 181 appearances in red and white.

Luke is fit and will be included in the squad for Saturday's match against Witton Albion at Amblecote.

Welcome back to Stourbridge, Luke!
