Record holder Leon stays on at Stour.

Club record appearance holder LEON BROADHURST has agreed a deal to stay with the Glassboys for 2018/19. (READ ON)

The 34-year old who first joined Stourbridge in the summer of 2003 has chalked up 731 appearances (700 + 31 sub) and scored 145 goals over the course of his three spells with the club.

Leon swept the board for the player awards at the end of season presentation evening at the end of April as he rolled back the years to end up as the leading goalscorer with 19 goals from 57 appearances.

The list of players in place for next season now reads:

Goalkeeper: Peter Hawk

Defenders: Darryl Westlake, Jack Duggan, Aris Christophorou, Paul McCone, James Timmins, Louis Hall

Midfielders: Tom Tonks, Brad Birch, Leon Broadhurst, Jake Evans

Attackers/Wide players: Kaiman Anderson, Greg Mills, Robert Thompson-Brown, Alex Cameron, Tom Edmonds-Hill and Luke Benbow.

Talks remain ongoing with other players from last season, along with other targets.

Pre-season training gets underway on Tuesday, 3rd July with the first friendly match away at AFC Wulfrunians on Saturday, 14th July (3 pm).
