A resilient display from the Glassboys was rewarded with all three points on the North Yorkshire coast.

Goals from Jordan Archer (2) and Paul McCone made for a happy journey home after a second away win in the space of five days meant Stourbridge jointly lead the way in the Evo-Stik Premier Division as one of five teams on seven points.

McCone opened the scoring with just nine minutes played, nodding in after a free-kick to the far post was headed back across goal, but the home side were level with 24 minutes played as Luke Bythway thumped in a 20 yard direct free-kick.

Archer restored the Glassboys lead just after the half hour as he ran on to Danny O'Callaghan's through ball to slot past Shane Bland, and, although Stourbridge had to weather some pressure after the break, it was Archer again who sealed the win with eight minutes remaining as he stroked the ball home for his fourth goal in three games after Whitby had failed to clear.

A more detailed report will appear shortly.
