YOUTH TEAM FINISH SEASON WITH A WIN
By Keith Grainger
The Youth team finished their season with a 3-0 victory over Studley
Last match of the season and a 3-0 victory over Studley at Highgate last night.
A match played in good spirit and cruised through by both teams, with Stour proving the better team on the night.
Stour led 1-0 at half time through a goal from Darragh Bustin who clipped the ball over the keeper after being put through by Stringer in the 28th minute.
Manager Dave King was giving the whole squad an outing in this last match, making 3 substitutions in the first half and 2 more at half time under the roll on roll off system.
1 of the substitutes, Jake Brigdale, increased the lead shortly after half time when the Studley keeper fumbled a shot from Elliott Davies and Jake was on the spot to put the ball in the net.
The scoring was completed in the 86th minute when top scorer Brandon Hague shot home from a Sam Stringer pass.
An appropriate end to a great season, well done lads, as was said in the dressing room after the match by Dave King, you have been a credit to the club, to your parents but, above all to yourselves in the manner that you have conducted yourselves this season both on and off the pitch.
