Stour exited the FA Youth Cup last night with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle Town.
Despite dominating the 1st half with some excellent football, Stour went in at half time empty handed. Again it was a case of good possession with no finish, chances being created which could have given them at least 2 or 3 goals in the half.
The second half was a different story. Stour went off their game and allowed Newcastle back into the match. However, Newcastle did not really trouble the Stour goal until the 86th minute when a defensive mix up between Jeavons and Hunt allowed the ball to run to the Newcastle forward who passed it into an empty net for the decisive goal.
