Both our youth team and newly formed academy squads are now building up to the start of their seasons. (READ ON)

YOUTH TEAM

Kieran Bustin's MFYL team enjoyed a weekend in Weston-Super-Mare a few days ago and also played friendly matches on consecutive days.

On the Saturday, Kidderminster Harriers stepped into the breach at short notice to provide the opposition before our squad continued down the motorway to Somerset and we turned in a strong showing to run out 5 - 0 victors. Our scorers were Jake Brigdale (2), Alex Cameron (2), and Ewan Hunter.

After spending the remainder of the day at the seaside, the squad returned the next day, stopping off to play at Clevedon Town on Sunday lunchtime for another pre-season friendly on the way back. Another bright display saw us win 4 - 2 and the scorers this time were Jake Brigdale, Alex Cameron, Jake Evans and Ewan Hunter.

The Youth Team have another friendly match lined up for Thursday, 10th August when they travel to face Highgate United (kick-off 7-30 pm).

Their season proper starts w/c 21st August when they are away at Hereford FC. We are awaiting confirmation of the date, venue and kick-off time.

ACADEMY

The newly formed Stourbridge FC academy side, set up in conjunction with Dudley College, and managed by John Kearney, have some friendly matches coming up shortly.

They have lined up a friendly with Sutton Coldfield Town on Wednesday, 16th August, which is currently due to be played at Greenfields with a 7 pm kick-off.

On Friday, 18th August they head to Stratford Town for a 12 noon kick-off.

With squads now more or less finalised, the youth and academy sections of the website have been updated accordingly.
