The former Walsall FC youth defender initially joined us on trial at the start of the 22/23 season and was rewarded with a deal after impressing then managers Leon Broadhurst and Stuart Pierpoint.

He made 15 appearances for us that season whilst also enjoying a spell on dual registration with Worcester City to gain more crucial experience in mens football before rejoining us and being part of our Birmingham Senior Cup winning squad.

Following the conclusion of the season, he linked up with our fellow Southern League Premier Central side Stratford Town where he would go from strength to strength, featuring more than 30 times and scoring some impressive goals along the way. He was voted as their young player of the season before resigning for the Bards at the start of this season.

He joins Liam McDonald’s squad as we look towards a busy winter period and will add plenty of strength and depth to our back line as he is comfortable both at left back and centre back.

Speaking on his new signing, our gaffa said ‘He’s come on so much over the last season or so and at 21 he is just the right age with the potential to get so much better whilst with us. Playing over 30 games and winning young player of the year shows the quality he has’

Alex isn’t cup tied, having been on the bench in the previous round, so could feature tomorrow against Alvechurch.
