April will take over the role and build on the excellent work done by Callum Terry over the last few years within our thriving girls section.
She will oversee the development of all of the players within our female pathway from our under 10s to our under 16s as well as helping them to transition into womens football in the near future. She will also work closely with all of our parents, coaches and management to ensure they are progressing well and deal with any welfare concerns that arise.
April is no stranger to the club, having joined as a player a couple of seasons ago with our women’s development and reserve sides. When she was sidelined by a knee injury, she began coaching one of our junor sides who have gone from strength to strength thanks to the work done by April and her fellow coaching staff.
She has also stepped up to coach our Stourbridge Standard side alongside Ryan Magson which will help us to bridge the gap between girls and womens football for our young players to help their continued development.
Speaking on her appointment, our vice chairman Andy Bullingham said ‘We are delighted to have appointed April as head of girls football. She will liaise with managers, coaches and parents about the progress and welfare of their children.
April is a talented women’s footballer who like many has suffered a serious Knee injury playing for the club. She has used this down time to offer her support of the Women and girls section.
We are honoured to have her on board and we are looking forward to seeing the progress she will undoubtedly make’
Congratulations on your new role April, we are looking forward to seeing your work in your new role!
