Adding strength and depth to our back line, his experience despite his young age has been a key part of our upturn in form following a difficult spell over the Christmas Period which has since seen us win four of our last five league games.

With his loan spell coming to an end this week and his contract with Hednesford Town being mutually terminated, Liam McDonald moved quickly to secure his services on a permanent basis.

Speaking on his latest addition, Liam said “Since he's come in, he has been outstanding! He is a really nice lad who has fitted into the group well and ever since his debut where he came on as a sub, he has done really well.

His performances and consistency levels have been really high and for such a young lad, he has experience of league football and playing in the conference north which has really helped at certain points of games.
