After a number of successful seasons working together which included winning the league with our under 21’s this season, Dean and Wayne have taken over from Phil Clinton and Adam ‘Bof’ Winwood as Stourbridge Standard’s new coaching staff.
Neither are strangers to The War Memorial Athletic Ground, having coached both our youth team and under 21s over the years and will be looking to continue to develop our talented younger players into future first teamers.
They bring a wealth of experience to the table, with Dean making over 350 football league appearances, and they will look to build on the recent successes of Phil and Bof who got Standard promoted last term as well as winning the league cup with the aim of further progressing up the pyramid.
Speaking on the new appointment, Chairman Andy Pountney said “We are delighted to announce that Dean and Wayne have agreed to take over from Phil and Bof.
Dean’s knowledge and experience will only benefit the lads and their development.
Welcome to your new role, and good luck!’
Their first game in charge is this weekend at the WMAG when they host Dudley Athletic - kick off 3pm.
We wish them both the very best in their new roles!
