The Glassboys will kick-off the new season on Saturday 13th August with an intriguing trip to newly-promoted Division 1 North Champions Warrington Town, before entertaining another of the newcomers, Hednesford Town, relegated from the Vanarama National League North, in the first home game on Monday 15th August.

The first Saturday home game will be on 20th August, when Ilkeston will visit the War Memorial Ground, followed by a testing midweek journey to Yorkshire to take on Frickley Athletic.

Meanwhile, in a somewhat unexpected break from previous custom, Stourbridge will not meet neighbours Halesowen Town over the Christmas and New Year periods. Instead the teams will lock horns in midweek fixtures, on Monday 19th September at Amblecote, and on Tuesday 7th March at the Grove.

Boxing Day will see us play host to Rushall Olympic in a Black Country Derby with potential added spice due to recent transfers between the two clubs, with the return fixture scheduled for Easter Monday (17th April) at Dales Lane. There is also a full League programme on Christmas Eve, Saturday 24th December, with the Glassboys making the relatively short journey to Hednesford Town.

August Bank Holiday Monday (29th August) sees Barwell travel to the War Memorial Ground, with Stourbridge then making the return trip to Leicestershire in the New Year fixture on Monday 2nd January. Incidentally, there are no fixtures on New Year’s Eve, Saturday 31st December.

There will be long trips to Blyth Spartans on Saturday 22nd October, Spennymoor Town (promoted from Division 1 North) on Saturday 5th November, Whitby Town on Saturday 25th February and Workington on Saturday 18th March.

With the exception of that early fixture at Frickley, the scheduled midweek away games are mostly relatively local, at Stafford Rangers (Tuesday 27th September), Corby Town (Wednesday 5th October), Coalville Town (Tuesday 18th October), as well as those already mentioned at Barwell, Halesowen and Rushall.

Warrington, the only team in next season’s Premier Division never to have visited Stourbridge in any competition, will be our guests on Saturday 7th January.

The season ends on Saturday 22nd April with a home fixture against Nantwich Town.
