The result means the Glassgirls have 34 points from 12 matches, and lead the table by just one point from Coundon, who boasted a 100% record prior to today.
Kat Fryzer put the Glassgirls ahead in the first half, but Coundon seemed to have done enough to earn a draw with an equaliser ten minutes from time. However, Charlie Hicklin tilted things Stourbridge's way with a late winner.
Both sides having two matches to play, including what is almost certain to be a Title decider when they meet again at Greenfields on Sunday 12th April.
Before then, Stourbridge Ladies have the chance to reach the BCWL Open Cup semi-final when they play host to Premier Division Tamworth next Sunday. Having already beaten another Premier Division outfit, Continental Star, in the quarter-finals, the Ladies can approach the game with plenty of confidence and nothing to fear.
And a victory against Tamworth could set up another clash with Coundon Court, who take on Premier Division high-fliers Stockingford Pavilion in the other semi-final.
Ladies fixtures for the rest of the season:
Sunday 22nd March - TAMWORTH (H) - BCWL Open Cup semi-final
Sunday 29th March - BLACK COUNTRY BELLES (H) - League
Sunday 12th April - COUNDON COURT (H) - League
Coundon Court's other remaining fixture is at home to Walsall Development Swifts on Sunday 29th March.
