The former Villa youngster is himself on his way back from an ankle injury that forced him out of action for three months and he is looking for valuable game-time as he makes his comeback.

He is the son of former Aston Villa legend Gordon Cowans and he too was on the books of Villa, progressing through their youth ranks from the under 18's through to the U23 side.

He joined EFL League 2 outfit Stevenage FC on loan early in the 2016/17 campaign and this was later extended the following January.

Henry was released by Aston Villa in the summer of 2017 without making a first team appearance for the club and he subsequently joined AFC Telford United in September 2017 and he has since featured regularly for the side under the management of Rob Edwards and then more recently, Gavin Cowan.

He signed a new one-year deal with the Shropshire club in May 2019.
