PREVIEW

Stourbridge are back on the FA Cup trail this Saturday but they face a stiff first test as they look to emulate their recent outstanding and consistent competition record.

Ian Long's side make the short journey to fellow Premier Division Central outfit BROMSGROVE SPORTING. The two sides met as recently as the August Bank Holiday Monday when the Glassboys emerged narrow 2 - 1 winners at the War Memorial Athletic Ground.

Stourbridge will be forced into a defensive reshuffle as Jordan Williams serves a 1-match ban following his sending-off at Peterborough Sports last Saturday. New signing Cody Fisher is available for selection following his midweek arrival from Stratford Town.

Kyle Finn has now returned to Hereford FC after his month's loan, which will give him the opportunity to try and impress new Bulls boss Russell Slade following their recent change of manager. All at the Club wish him well!

The visitors have a number of ex-Glassboys on their books and of course Leon Broadhurst has been a major part of our wonderful FA Cup memories over the last ten years, but now he will be out to enjoy similar experiences with his new club.

Jake Heath has now left Sporting, but other ex-Glassboys still on their books include Robbie Thompson-Brown, Josh Quaynor, Kieren Westwood, Kyle Perry and Nathan Hayward.

If Saturday's match ends in a draw, the replay will be at Stourbridge FC on Monday, 9th September - kick-off 7-45 pm.

The winning club will pick up £4,500 from the FA Cup prize fund with the losers receiving £1,500.

The winners will go forward to Monday's 2nd Qualifying Round draw when the step 2 National League North and South clubs enter the competition.

Note - Should neither Stourbridge or Rushall draw on Saturday, the Glassboys will head to Rushall Olympic on Tuesday night in the Southern League Cup Preliminary Round for our first visit since the Pics installed a 3G pitch at Dales Lane.
