With just two weeks of the 'regular' season remaining, this is a vital fixture for both sides for different reasons. (READ ON)

While the Glassboys effectively have one foot in the play-offs already, Gary Hackett's men are still fighting for position and home advantage as they seek to nail down the runners-up spot. Having held a top two place for much of the campaign both KIng's Lynn Town and Alvechurch have closed the gap to Stourbridge in recent weeks - and both those clubs come to Amblecote in the next fortnight!

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are in last chance saloon as far as their play-off ambitions are concerned with Andy Peaks' side unable to afford any more slip-ups as they sit 7th with 60 points, six points behind 5th place Stratford Town with four games to go. Diamonds overall record is played 38, won 15, drawn 15 and lost 8. They have only lost once at home at Hayden Road though in 19 league games, having won 9 and drawn 9 so far.

We last visited Hayden Road in March 1992 prior to the merger of Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds and the move to the now demolished Nene Park.

Diamonds have just installed a new 156 seat stand to comply with league requirements at step 3.

Stourbridge defeated AFC Rushden & Diamonds 2 - 1 at the War Memorial Athletic Ground back in August with Leon Broadhurst grabbing a 90th minute headed winner after Jack Duggan had headed a Robert Thompson-Brown free-kick back across goal.

Diamonds had earlier taken a first-half lead when short back-pass from Paul McCone let in John Dean and he rounded James Wren to score. Stourbridge rallied and Luke Benbow had a penalty saved by Ben Heath before the Glassboys restored parity after 31 minutes when an awkward bouncing cross-shot from Greg Mills squirmed through Heath's hands and into the net.
