PREVIEW

With recent signings Levi Rowley and Josh Ezewele cup-tied, the Stourbridge squad is likely to comprise of most, if not all, the players involved in the last round win over Stafford Rangers with Will Grocott the only injury doubt.

The Glassboys meet step 3 opposition for the fourth time in this season's competition, having already seen off Bromsgrove Sporting and Coalville Town from the Premier Division Central away from home before squeezing past Satafford Rangers at home earlier this month.

Stourbridge have just missed out on the 1st Round Proper in the last two seasons after enjoying that remarkable run in 2016/17 to the 3rd Round Proper. The Glassboys were defeated by Macclesfield Town 5 - 0 two seasons ago with the visitors going on to win the National League that season. Last season Stourbridge couldn't follow up on wins over Kidderminster Harriers and Leamington at Guiseley in the final qualifying round. The West Yorkshire side prevailed 3 - 1 and then knocked out Cambridge United in the next round!

Whitby Town are bidding to reach the Proper stages of the FA Cup for the first time since the 2003/04 season when they were beaten by Hartlepool United.

They might feel that this is indeed their year after a tremendous 3 - 1 replay win at National League North outfit Gloucester City in the last round. They bounced back from conceding a stoppage time equaliser in the first game to travel down to Evesham 48 hours later for the replay and pulled off one of the results of the round.

Prior to that Chris Hardy's side had won on the road at Widnes (4 - 0) and 1874 Northwich (1-0) in the earlier qualifying rounds.

Stourbridge have visited Whitby four times before during a spell in the NPL Premier Division between 2014 and 2018 and it currently stands at two wins apiece. The Glassboys have won 3 - 1 on their last two visits to the Turnbull Ground and will be looking to extend that sequence on Saturday!
