Meg has been an integral part of our successful women and girls section over a number of years, firstly as a player then as a coach before going on to manage our very successful U16 girls side who have already won one cup this season, and have their eyes firmly set on another cup and the league title!
She embodies what we stand for as a club and has the right characteristics to guide us into our next chapter with hard work and dedication alongside good football at the fore front of everything her side will do.
She will also work closely alongside our head of girls football April McGuire and the coaches within our pathway to enhance the relationship between our first team and our thriving junior section to create a sustainable pathway to first team football for all of our talented young players.
Speaking on her new role, Meg said ‘I’m incredibly excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to become the new manager of Stourbridge Women.
Having been in and around the club since I was 17, this place truly feels like home, and I’m deeply grateful to be trusted with this role.
I want to thank everyone at the club for their belief in me, and I’m eager to repay that faith.
My focus now is on building a strong, positive culture within the team — one that reflects the passion, commitment, and community spirit that Stourbridge stands for.
I can’t wait to get started and begin this exciting new chapter with a group of players and staff who share the same drive to push the club forward.’
Congratulations on your new role Meg!
