17-year-old Dutton signs on dual registration from Birmingham City, where she is part of the Academy squad alongside another current Glassgirl, Hannah Fishwick.
Connie trained with the Stourbridge squad for the first time on Thursday night, and will be eligible for today’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup tie against Sheffield United.
Fisher was delighted to be able to secure Connie’s signature with a hectic second half of the season in store.
“We have a lot of matches still to play, and it’s going to test the depth of the squad. There’s no way we can expect to play the same eleven each week and having that ability to change things around and not lose our effectiveness will be key.
“We’ve seen already the strength of the top teams in this League, particularly Sutton and Lichfield, but others too, and we can’t afford to rest on our laurels.
“Connie is young and eager, we know that she will bring technical ability, it’s just a case of her adapting to the difference between Academy football and senior football.
“I want to thank Birmingham City for their help. I’m sure it will be beneficial for everyone, not least Connie herself.”
Connie began with Redditch United’s junior system, but joined Birmingham at Under 14 level and has progressed through the age groups over the last five seasons.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” she told us after signing. “I want to get some experience of women’s senior football, so hopefully it goes well. I'm really excited about it!"
