Starting out initially on the books at Wolves, Jez impressed in the youth team at AFC Telford United alongside Brad Bood to win a contract with the Shropshire outfit ahead of the 2021-22 season. He subsequently had loan stints at Barwell, Rushall Olympic and Shifnal Town to continue his development.

A particularly strong second half to the 2022/23 season with Shifnal led to him signing for Redditch United in June 2023, but in early September 2023 he moved on again to Hednesford Town. A change of manager for the Pitmen led to Jez returning to Shifnal Town towards the end of the year though.

In November 2024 he signed for Brackley Town after successful trials and subsequently helped the Northamptonshire club to win the National League North title in April.

The livewire 22-year-old appeared as a trialist for us at Coleshill Town last Saturday and he quickly made his mark, scoring our second goal and winning the penalty for our third goal.
