NEW SIGNING: Mitch Botfield joins from Alvechurch
Midfield powerhouse MITCH BOTFIELD has become the latest player to make the move from Alvechurch to the War Memorial Athletic Ground.
The tenacious central midfield player possesses a strong engine and good tackling ability.
He was originally involved in the youth ranks at Walsall before later joining Halesowen Town.
In the summer of 2013 he signed for Evesham United whilst studying in Gloucestershire.
A year later he linked up with Ian Long and Richard Colwell at Tividale ahead of their 2014/15 campaign in the NPL Division 1 South before he headed to the USA in 2015 for a football scholarship and during his time in the States he played for Lenoir-Rhyne University and Asheville City.
Upon returning to England he renewed acquaintances with Ian Long in the summer of 2017 as he signed for Alvechurch and he helped the Worcestershire side to win promotion from the NPL Division One South in 2017/18 and then reach the Premier Division Central play-offs last season.
