Alex joined us on loan last season before making the switch permanent this summer having enjoyed his time at Amblecote. He brings experience from the football league and leads by example both on and off the pitch.

Speaking on his appointment, he said “It’s a real privilege to be named as captain of this club. When the gaffer first spoke to me about it, I was really honoured. I believe we have a fantastic group of players and I am looking forward to leading them throughout a successful season.”

Joel Kettle is about to enter his third consecutive season with the Glassboys, having made the switch from Bromsgrove Sporting in the summer of 2022. He became a firm fan favourite and has been ever present in the heart of our defence since joining us.

He’s looking forward to his new role and said “it’s an absolute pleasure to represent stourbridge again! I'm looking forward to getting the season started and seeing the fans down the WMG Saturday. I believe we will see an improvement this season, and hopefully, a team the fans are in line with on and off the pitch.

As you've seen so far through pre season, the gaffa is a driven manager with high standards, and it'll be our job to reflect that on a match day. It's not going to be easy or instant, but we believe we can have a successful season, one that fans can enjoy coming to watch and proud of. Lets go! UP THE STOUR!”
