All seemed to be going to plan when Kayelden Brown put the Glassboys ahead after 21 minutes, hitting an opportunist strike from the edge of the box and catching out Shane Gore in the Chesham goal at his near post.
However, the home side were level ten minutes later when Dean Coleman appeared to misjudge a through ball leaving Chris Dillon to square the ball to the unmarked Drew Roberts, who tucked home from close range.
And worse was to befall the Glassboys after 63 minutes when Dillon got on the end of a far post knock-down to sweep home what proved to be the winning goal.
Stourbridge battled to get back into the game but were unable to create many clear cut chances against a resolute home defence. The closest we came was a well-hit strike from outside the penalty area by Kristian Ramsey-Dickson, pushed forward from his usual defensive position in search of a leveller, which appeared to be heading for the bottom corner until it was deflected wide off a defender.
Ultimately Chesham were good value for their triumph over 90 minutes and Stourbridge must now look to next season.
We would like to express our thanks to the supporters who travelled to Chesham and gave the team such loud and impassioned backing throughout the game. Your support has been invaluable throughout the season and is hugely appreciated by the players and management.
Chesham now look forward to the Final on Bank Holiday Monday when they will entertain either Cambridge City or St Albans City at the Meadow. Cambridge and St Albans meet at Cambridge on Wednesday night in the second semi-final.
