RECAP - New signing - Experienced midfield man CALLUM GITTINGS joins!
Central midfielder CALLUM GITTINGS has become our third new signing of the summer after joining from Leamington FC.
The 36-year-old came off the bench for the Brakes in the Birmingham Senior Cup Final at Villa Park last month, two days after scoring a screamer against Kidderminster Harriers in the penultimate league game of the season that worth's checking out on YOUTUBE!
Callum was with Wolves as a schoolboy. After being released at the age of 16 he had a break from the game before resuming playing for Redditch United. He also had a spell 'on loan' at Cinderford Town.
Spells followed at Tividale and Boldmere St Michaels before he subsequently made the move to Alvechurch in 2006 where he enjoyed four good years before signing for Kidderminster Harriers in August 2010 and moving into full-time football where he spent five seasons and made over 150 appearances.
In the summer of 2015 he joined Solihull Moors but he spent the last month or so of the campaign on loan at Leamington FC.
He initially signed for AFC Telford for the 2016/17 season, however by October 2016 he was back with Leamington and he went on to chalk up over 200 appearances for the Warwickshire outfit over the course of the next five-and-a-half years or so, helping the Brakes to win promotion to the National League North via the play-offs and win the Birmingham Senior Cup three times.
