Scott is no stranger to The Glassboys having previously done a number of roles over a 11 year stretch between 2013 and 2024. He originally assisted Gary Hackett's coaching staff during a period which saw us reach play offs and make several historical FA Cup runs whilst also taking on a number of different roles in our junior and youth sections.
He was then named as part of Leon Broadhurst and Stuart Pierpoint's coaching staff when they took over in 2021. Over the next 18 months, he was part of the Birmingham Senior Cup winning staff who also guided us to the last 8 of the FA Trophy and also completed his UEFA A Licence whilst continuing to work full time at Aston Villa.
After leaving the club in early 2024, he linked up with Paul Smith at Bromsgrove Sporting, originally as first team coach and was appointed manager in November following a successful interim period. With Darryl Knights by his side as assistant manager, he guided Sporting from relegation favourites to their highest ever league position by the end of campaign.
Darryl Knights will also remain as head of youth development whilst taking up the role of assistant manager whilst Drew Canavan and Billy Walwyn remain key parts of our coaching staff.
We will also welcome Richard Batchelor back to the club as a coach having been part of Scott's backroom staff at Bromsgrove after announcing his retirement from playing at the start of the season.
