We have welcomed back central defender ZAK LILLY. The 25-year-old previously had a brief loan stint with the Glassboys towards the end of the 2018/19 season.
While Zak can play in a variety of roles and was initially better known as a forward, he has successfully converted to playing at centre-half since 2018.
He joined AFC Telford in July 2015 following successful trials having impressed for the AFC Wulfrunians youth team.
He was loaned out to Sutton Coldfield Town in September 2015 and spent a good portion of that season with the Royals.
He then spent a month on loan with Leamington early in the 2016/17 season, making four appearances before returning to the Bucks.
Zak joined Rushall Olympic on loan at the start of the 2017/18 campaign, but injury disrupted his season, although in January 2018 he was loaned out again to Romulus.
Following conversations with the then AFC Telford boss Gavin Cowan, he made the switch to centre-half in pre-season ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. Towards the end of November 2018 he joined Tamworth on loan for a month and he then arrived on loan at Stourbridge in March 2019 making six appearances (3 + 3 sub) in total, including a second-half substitute appearance in our play-off semi-final loss at Alvechurch.
Back at AFC Telford for the following season, he began to establish himself more at the Shropshire outfit, enjoying some sustained runs in the side, but after seven years at the New Bucks Head, he opted for a move to Hereford FC in June 2022. After one year with the Bulls he was released at the end of the season following a change of management and he quickly became a target for the Glassboys management team.
Pacey attacking midfielder NIALL FLINT joins Stourbridge after four years playing in the Cymru Premier, most recently with Aberystwyth Town.
The 25-year-old from Shropshire was originally on the books of Shrewsbury Town before he signed for AFC Telford in the summer of 2015. He joined Market Drayton Town on loan in November 2015 before completing a move to Scarborough Athletic at the start of February 2016 where he won the young player of the year award in 2016/17.
He joined Sutton Coldfield Town for the start of the 2017/18 season before having brief stints at Matlock Town and Stafford Rangers and then returning to Coles Lane for the remainder of the campaign.
Niall signed for Stalybridge Celtic in August 2018 but left to join Chasetown in December 2018 before making another return to Sutton Coldfield Town in January 2019.
He headed to Welsh outfit Newtown AFC in the summer of 2019 before switching to Cefn Druids a year later. He signed for Aberystwyth Town in July 2022 after two years with The Ancients.
We have also welcomed promising teenage midfielder JACK FLETCHER from Tividale. Jack had a stellar first season in senior football in 2022/23 and won several awards at the MFL Premier Division club's end of season presentations. Said to be tidy, composed and with a great engine, we are happy to provide Jack with the opportunity to test himself at the higher level.
Welcome to our three new signings and we wish you well for the upcoming season!
We can also advise that young defender ALEX WORLEY is reported to be signing for fellow Southern League Premier Division Central side STRATFORD TOWN, while STANLEY OBINNA ANAEBONAM is understood to have had a change of heart and is now linking up with Hereford FC for the new season after initially appearing to be Rushall-bound.
