Welcome @LiamDaly1704151
The tall, dominant, 33 year-old central defender joins the Glassboys from National League outfit Barnet FC.
Liam possesses a great aerial presence and poses a significant threat at attacking set pieces too!
Liam started out in non-league circles with Romulus FC before signing for Evesham United in the summer of 2006. A stint at Corby Town followed before he moved to Redditch United in December 2007. In October 2008 he joined Solihull Moors for the first time but just over a year later he switched to Halesowen Town.
In the summer of 2010 Liam left the Yeltz and signed for Leamington. His playing career really took off at the New Windmill Ground where he spent most of the next four years, aside from a short stint at Barwell between October 2011 and January 2012. He was a key figure as Leamington won the Southern League Premier Division title in 2013.
Ahead of the 2014/15 campaign Liam re-joined Solihull Moors where he spent the next three years before moving to Kidderminster Harriers in the summer of 2017. His spell at Aggborough proved short-lived, however, and he returned to Solihull for a third time early in the 2017/18 season where Liam subsequently played under Mark Yates for the remainder of that campaign. Liam went on to chalk up over 250 appearances for the Moors across his three stints before he signed for Gloucester City in November 2019.
His performances helped Gloucester City to top the National League North table for much of the 2020/21 campaign before it was eventually brought to a halt. In the meantime, Liam completed a move to Barnet FC in January 2021 during Tim Flowers' short stint in charge of the Bees.
With Liam being released from his contract at Barnet by mutual agreement, Stour boss Mark Yates is delighted to have been able to swoop to secure his services having worked with the player before and believes his vast experience will stand us in good stead for the season ahead. Mark is also looking to have another defender and a midfielder on board in due course too as pre-season intensifies.
