STOURBRIDGE FC under 12's are set to play at the home of English football at St George's Park after successfully winning their league this season.

The youngsters triumphed in the northern section of the Junior Premier Elite League and were unbeaten in their seven games against the likes of Coventry City and Mansfield Town in a nine a side format.

They will now play the final at St George's in Staffordshire in May against the winners of the South division, which is yet to be decided.

The boys have been together for two years and are coached by Lewis Solly, who played over 400 games in goal for the Glassboy's first team.

The under 12s are part of the club's youth system which fields over 20 boys and girls sides along with the academy team.

Solly said winning the league was quite an achievement.

He said: "The lads managed to finish unbeaten against some big clubs with some talented players so we are all really proud of them.

"They have earned their chance to play in the final and will hopefully go on to win that as well before progressing to 11-a-side football next season."
