Changes to League allocations announced

With news that SHAW LANE are to fold their first team and resign from the NPL, revised league allocations have been announced. (READ ON)

Earlier today it was announced that SHAW LANE would be folding their first team and had tendered their resignation from the NPL.

The resignation of Shaw Lane leaves the Evo-stik NPL Premier Division a team light and HEDNESFORD TOWN have been advised that they will NOW REMAIN in the NPL having originally been named in the provisional line-up for the new Central Division at step 3 that will be overseen by the Southern League.

Hednesford have, however, advised that they intend to appeal that decision for the reasons given in a statement they have issued this evening -

The knock-on effect of a club being switched north and out of the Southern League Central Division has led to BANBURY UNITED being transferred across from their original placing in the Southern League South into the Central Division.

Dorset side WIMBORNE TOWN have been promoted into the Southern League South Division as they hold the best league record of the remaining losing play-off finalists from across the board at step 4.

FC ROMANIA receive promotion from the Essex Senior League at step 5 into step 4 as a result of the changes made higher up the non-league pyramid and based on their points per game ratio last season.
