The club were delighted to hand over cheques for £1,000 to two local charity groups last Saturday from the FA's Community Shield fund.

Cheques for £1,000 each were presented to representatives of SUNFIELD and EDWARD'S TRUST before the Glassboys final home league game against Nantwich Town.

The funds had been donated by the Football Association to each of the 32 Non-League clubs reaching the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper in 2015/16 (last season), along with the 92 Premier League/Football League clubs, for distribution to charities of their choice.

Edward's Trust is a Birmingham-based charity, covering the West Midlands area, and providing bereavement counselling both post and pre-death for children who have lost a parent or carer, or for parents and carers whose children have died.

Sunfield is an independent residential special school and charity based in Clent. They have over 80 years of experience in supporting boys and girls aged 6 to 19 with complex learning needs, including Autism and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome).
