Stourbridge have today completed the signing of former Walsall defender Netan Sansara.

Netan has signed a contract until the end of the 2014/15 season.

Born in Walsall, the 24-year old came through the youth ranks at his home-town club to make his first team debut in August 2008. He played around 40 games for the Saddlers and was a member of the team that knocked Stourbridge out of the FA Cup in the First Round Proper at Amblecote in November 2009.

Netan moved on from the Bescot Stadium in the summer of 2010, having brief spells with Dundee in the Scottish First Division and then AFC Telford Utd in the Conference North. From Telford he moved to fellow Conference North Club Corby Town where he ended the 2010-11 campaign, making 22 appearances for the Steelmen and scoring twice.

During the summer of 2011 he moved to Cypriot club PAEEK, where he enjoyed a good season before rejecting a new contract offer in order to sign for Danish First Division outfit FC Vestsjaelland in the summer of 2012 and he helped them win promotion to the Danish Superliga.

Netan began this season with Boston United in the Conference North, appearing 20 times and scoring once. He recently left the Lincolnshire club after finding it difficult to travel from his home in the Midlands.

Netan has also been capped twice by England at under 18 level, and once at under 19 level.

Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett revealed: "I know Netan's uncle quite well through my work. He told me that Netan was finding the travelling to Boston was becoming too much for him, so I moved quickly to put a deal together and bring him in."

We would like to welcome Netan to Stourbridge and we hope that his stay with us is happy and successful.
