We can confirm that midfielder Brad Birch has opted to move on and join Worcester City for the 2017/18 season.

Worcester will begin next season in the Midland League, alongside the likes of Bromsgrove Sporting, their Landlords, and our close neighbours Lye Town, after resigning their place in the National League North and being placed at Step 5 after their on-field relegation was confirmed.

Brad joined the Glassboys last summer from Littleton of the Midland League, and made a total of 33 appearances in all competitions (including 11 as a substitute). His only goal for Stourbridge came in the 2-2 draw at Spennymoor Town last November.

His opportunities were limited at times, with the established duo of Tom Tonks and Leon Broadhurst proving hard to dislodge in the middle of the park, but Brad was popular with supporters for his energetic, hard-working displays when his chances came along.

Brad actually started in the Youth ranks at Worcester - his home town club, and later played for Westfields and Bromyard Town before joining Littleton.

On behalf of the Club we would like to wish Brad all the best for the future, and we thank him for his efforts during his time at Stourbridge.
