This season, because of the new divisions at step 3 and step 4, there are extra clubs competing in the F A Trophy. 295 clubs are entered (Guernsey aren't involved) and this means that there will be an additional round - the Extra Preliminary Round - featuring 27 ties and taking place on September 29th.

The 24 National League clubs are again exempt to the 1st Round Proper.

The draws for only the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary Rounds have been made, so we will find out our opposition in the 1st Qualifying Round at a later date.
