The Award brings with it a cheque for £1,000, and a trophy to be presented at the Evo-Stik League Annual Dinner in June.
The Fair Play table is calculated on the basis of disciplinary points for red and yellow cards issued during League and Integro League Cup fixtures. Gary Hackett’s men boasted the proud record of not incurring a single red card in any of the 62 matches throughout the campaign, the only team in the three Divisions of the Evo-Stik League to achieve the feat, whilst only 45 yellow cards were accumulated in the 49 League and League Cup fixtures played.
With three points “awarded” for a red card and one point for a yellow card, Stourbridge were the only Premier Division club to gather less than one point per match, ahead of runners-up Spennymoor Town (52 yellow cards and one red) and third placed Matlock Town (50 yellow and four red).
However, the League’s over all Award went to Division 1 North Champions Lancaster City, whose 35 yellow cards and one red gave them an average of 0.88 points per game, compared with the Glassboys’ 0.92 points.
Meanwhile, the Division 1 South Award went to Lincoln United.
Congratulations to Gary and his team for leading the way on the disciplinary front for the second season in a row!
