Stourbridge will travel to National League North club GUISELEY AFC in the Emirates F A Cup 4th Qualifying Round on Saturday, 20th October.

The Lions overcame Cleethorpes Town 2 - 1 in their 3rd Qualifying Round replay at Nethermoor on Tuesday night. Guiseley's winner incidentally was scored by Kayode Odejayi whose goal for Barnsley knocked Chelsea out of the Cup in 2008.

Guiseley were relegated after three seasons in the National League last April. A torrid campaign saw them finish bottom of the table. They appointed joint-managers in May with ex-Solihull Moors, Grimsby Town and Chester FC boss Marcus Bignot at the helm alongside former Alfreton Town manager Russ O'Neill.

Guiseley currently lie one place below Leamington in the National League North. They are 13th with 14 points from 11 games with a record of won 3, drew 5 and lost 3 in the league.

Guiseley is a small town in West Yorkshire to the north-west of Leeds and located in the City of Leeds Metropolitan Borough, perhaps best known for its connection with Harry Ramsden who started his fish & chip shop business in 1928 in a wooden hut in White Cross, Guiseley. The business, of course, grew and grew into a famous fast food restaurant chain.

The original main restaurant was closed in December 2011. The Wetherby Whaler group purchased the site and following a refurbishment, the new Wetherby Whaler restaurant opened in May 2012.

Following the £750,000 refurbishment, the restaurant was restored to its former glory, maintaining the historic features of the building, including high ceilings, stained glass, oak panelling and crystal chandeliers. It is less than a ten minute walk from the ground along Otley Road!

Guiseley railway station has regular train services into Leeds, Bradford and Ilkley on the Wharfedale Line.

Harry Corbett, known for his children's television glove puppet character Sooty stage act, lived with his parents, who owned a fish and chip shop on Springfield Road.

Tasmin Archer, whose co-written song "Sleeping Satellite" reached number one in the UK charts, and Maurice Lee of The Grumbleweeds lived in the town.

Stourbridge will travel with belief as in the past 13 months they have enjoyed a good record against National League North clubs in FA competitions. Alfreton Town were overcome at the War Memorial Athletic Ground in September 2017 in the F A Cup, while Stourbridge knocked Bradford Park Avenue out of the FA Trophy with a home replay win after the Glassboys had earned a draw away. Leamington have been beaten home and away in both the FA Trophy last season and FA Cup last month, while Kidderminster Harriers became the Glassboys latest scalp from that division last Saturday.
